Created as East3’s first Kidrobot vinyl figure, Mugsy is a playful three-dimensional tribute to the culture of graffiti and aerosol art. The figure features a removable purple visor, articulated arms, a backpack, and accessories including spray cans and markers—capturing the look and attitude of a graffiti writer ready to hit the wall.

East3, also known as Ken “East-3” Nishimura, is a Hawaii-based graffiti and aerosol artist whose roots in hip-hop and writing culture stretch back to the 1980s. Raised in Honolulu, he began creating custom art, hand-drawn hip-hop flyers, and community murals before becoming deeply involved in the broader hip-hop and graffiti scene. His career brought him into contact with influential figures and organizations including the Rock Steady Crew, Adidas Originals, DJ Qbert, Rawkus Records, and Kidrobot.

Mugsy is particularly appealing because it doesn't simply borrow graffiti aesthetics, it turns the graffiti writer himself into the art object. From the spray-can-inspired body to the markers, backpack, visor, and poseable arms, every element reinforces the connection to aerosol culture. For collectors of Kidrobot, designer vinyl, hip-hop memorabilia, or graffiti art, Mugsy represents a great crossover piece from the formative era of the urban art-toy movement. A distinctive piece for the serious Kidrobot collector—and a must-have for anyone who appreciates graffiti, street art, and the legacy of hip-hop culture.
