Sacramento rapper Brotha Lynch Hung came up through the battle rap scene, originally with the name 'Ice Cold.' The name would be dropped due to comparisons to fellow rapper Ice T's name, and would change in favor of a nickname given by a his brother, Triple Six. The name "Lynch" was awarded to the rapper as a nod to his battle rap skills.
